A passenger jet came within a mile of Marine One in early August, after an air traffic controller at Ronald Reagan National Airport appeared to have missed multiple warnings.
Mosquito traps had been placed at Frankfurt Airport, and any insects caught would be analyzed to find out about their species and origins, a spokesman for the airport’s operator said.
